Last Friday our students got to use the Scientific Method to help them build and test a boat design. They had to work in teams of 3 and create a hypothesis on which type of boat desing would hold the most nails before sinking. They were then given 2 pieces of construction paper, some crayons, and tape to build their boats. After the boats were completed, we tested them in a bin full of water and placed nails in them one at a time. Savannah, Jasmine, and Sierra were the members of the winning team whose canoe shaped boat held 92 nails before sinking. Congratulations girls!
